Bengaluru, July 2025

A mysterious compound called VitaminCC is suddenly all over our Twitter feed — and no, it’s not a new supplement brand or biotech startup. It’s a fake-sounding molecule allegedly discovered in a Bengaluru café that has somehow triggered Twitter to react in a hilarious series of tweets. This sounds unreal but it’s got us curious!

What began as an strange photo of a printed “research paper” titled The Molecular Happiness Index of Vitamin CC has spiralled into full-blown social media mayhem. The paper, complete with charts, diagrams, and references to emotional voids and serotonin spikes, was reportedly “found” abandoned at a café — as one does — in Indiranagar.

Naturally, Twitter went feral.

So… What is Vitamin CC?

According to the now-viral document, it’s a newly identified “compound” linked to mood elevation, inner peace, and post-lunch clarity. The paper claims that over 1 billion Indians may be deficient in it.

Which makes sense — based on the emotional instability, collective fatigue, and existential meme-sharing that followed.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to this very real fake molecule:

“Bengaluru just dropped a molecule like it’s an indie album.” — @rahaaaaaa
“Vitamin CC is not FDA approved but my soul agrees with it.” — @urbanplantdad
“New molecule just dropped. No one knows what it does but we all agree we don’t have enough of it.” — @soulinbrackets
“Imagine living your whole life unaware of Vitamin CC… and then finding out in a café.” — @thinkcult
“Discovered in a Bengaluru café. Diagnosed in a tweet. Cured on Zomato. Peak India.” — @notanotherhandle
“Vitamin CC sounds fake but I believe in it more than my insurance.” — @sleepybania
